The flat rate conference call service may be your best option if you plan to host several calls per week but its certainly worth making the comparison. For a few years I was hosting three calls a week and it was far more cost effective to use a flat rate conference call provider vs a “per minute” plan. Fortunately it’s pretty easy to crunch the math to see what works.

Things to consider when looking at flat rate conference call plans:
- How many participants are you planning on having on the call (this is one of the biggest factors)
- How long will your call last
- How many calls do you plan on hosting a week
- Toll free options (becoming less of a factor due to today’s low costs)
In the end it will come down to a fair price with a quality service. Much like home and cell plans, the competition is increasing allowing the costs to come down and the quality to only get better.
